Old school. Deep roots. Works on both sides of the ledger.
Bluestone, also known as Blue Vitriol or copper sulfate, is one of the most serious and most historically documented minerals in African American Hoodoo. It works on two fronts: as a powerful protection and warding mineral and as a crossing and enemy work ingredient of considerable force. In old Hoodoo pharmacies and spiritual supply stores across the South, Bluestone was a staple behind the counter, kept for practitioners who knew exactly what they were asking for.
Use it in floor washes for protection. Add to enemy work preparations. Lay across thresholds to keep hostile forces from crossing into your space.
Historical Context: Documented in Hoodoo practice through Harry Middleton Hyatt's interviews and in Southern conjure supply catalogs going back to the early 20th century.
Used For: Protection. Warding. Crossing enemies. Floor washes. Threshold protection. Serious spiritual work.
Caution: Bluestone is copper sulfate and is toxic if ingested. For external and ritual use only. Keep away from children and pets.
