Crossing Powder is a condition powder used to lay a crossed condition on a target, bringing confusion, bad luck, obstacles, and general misfortune across their path. Where Hot Foot sends someone away and Goofer Dust strikes hard, Crossing Powder works with a slower, spreading hand, tangling the target's affairs, souring their relationships, and making everything they attempt turn difficult.

Historical Context: Crossing, the act of placing a jinx or hex on a person, is one of the oldest and most consistently documented practices in African American Hoodoo. The crossed condition appears in records from the Federal Writers Project slave narratives, in the works of Zora Neale Hurston, and in rootwork documentation going back to the earliest studies of Southern folk practice.

Used For: Laying crossed conditions. Bringing obstacles and confusion to enemies. Souring an enemy's affairs. Jinx work.

How to Work It: Sprinkle across the target's doorstep, path, or property. Add to a black candle working with the target's name. Use with a petition naming specifically what you want crossed in their life.
