Red Brick Dust at your doorstep keeps evil from crossing it. This is one of the oldest protection practices in New Orleans Hoodoo.
Red Brick Dust is ground from actual red brick and laid across the threshold of a home, business, or any space that needs to be protected from hostile forces, unwanted visitors, and evil of any kind. The practice is most strongly associated with New Orleans Hoodoo and the Creole spiritual traditions of the Gulf Coast, but it has been used across African American communities throughout the South for generations.
Lay it across your front doorstep after mopping with your house blessing or protection wash. Renew after rain. The practice is simple. The power is not.
Used For: Threshold protection. Keeping evil from entering the home. Warding off hostile visitors. Home protection.
How to Work It: Lay across the front doorstep. Add to protection floor washes. Combine with Iron Filings for doubled threshold protection. Renew weekly or after heavy rain.
