The most important grimoire in African American spiritual history. Every serious practitioner should own a copy.
The Sixth and Seventh Books of Moses is the foundational grimoire text behind much of African American Hoodoo practice, a collection of ancient Hebrew and Kabbalistic seals, prayers, and conjurations that entered African American spiritual tradition through the 18th and 19th centuries and became deeply woven into Southern conjure, rootwork, and the spiritual practice of Black communities across the United States.
In Black spiritual tradition, the Moses Books are not simply a book of magic. They are a connection to the power of Moses himself, the great liberator, the man who stood before Pharaoh, the Ancextor whose authority over spiritual forces was absolute. Owning and working with this text has meant something specific to African American practitioners for generations. It is a claim to that lineage. It is an assertion of spiritual authority. It is a statement that this tradition belongs to us.
The book contains seals for every purpose including protection, prosperity, love, commanding authority, legal victory, and communication with spirits. It is at once a historical document, an educational resource, and a working spiritual tool.
