The oldest offering. The Ancextors have always known the smell of tobacco.

Tobacco is one of the most ancient and most widely used Ancextral offerings across African diasporic, Indigenous American, and Southern conjure traditions. In African American Hoodoo and in the broader African diasporic spiritual world, tobacco is placed on the Ancextral altar, offered to the dead, burned in their honor, and used to open lines of communication between the living and those who have crossed over.

The Ancextors who survived the Middle Passage, who worked the land, who built this country with their bodies, many of them knew tobacco. Offering it to them is an act of recognition. It says: I see you. I know who you were. I honor what you carried.

Used For: Ancextral offerings. Opening spirit communication. Altar work. Honoring the dead. Feeding the Ancextors.

How to Work It: Place a small amount on your Ancextral altar as an offering. Burn on charcoal alongside your altar blend. Leave at the crossroads as an offering. Use whenever you are opening your Ancextral altar work.

1 oz loose tobacco. Unsweetened. Traditional offering grade.
